Ben'imana at the Cannes Film Festival, all the way to the Caméra d'Or

The Ben'imana film team

Accompanying the team of a film selected at the Cannes Film Festival means producing images at the pace of the world's biggest film festival. For 4 days, BOW Creative Studio followed the team of Ben'imana, selected in the Un Certain Regard category: director Marie Clémentine Dusabejambo, producer Samantha Biffot, the lead actress, and Samson Elibigui, director of the IGIS, the Gabonese Institute of Image and Sound, at the heart of every key moment of the fortnight.

The set-up covered every front at once: footage for Gabonese television, editorial fashion photography, and social media content shot from the producer’s point of view as her film climbed the red-carpet steps, with brand activations built into the programme.

When the awards were announced, the images were ready: Ben'imana went home with the Caméra d'Or. Content of historic value for Gabonese cinema, and proof that an agile, well-prepared crew can turn the unexpected into images.
