EPA Nice Écovallée, a year of documentaries in the Var plain

How do you tell the story of a territory being reshaped? The EPA Nice Écovallée, the public development authority running the Éco-Vallée National Interest Operation, France’s largest, in the Var plain, entrusted the studio with several documentaries over a year covering its local citizen-consultation initiatives.

At the heart of the series: the construction of a shared community space amid residences under construction, shared vegetable gardens, playgrounds, meeting places. Subjects where the image must capture people first: residents, new habits taking root, a neighbourhood coming alive.

Documentary as public communication: showing what is actually being done, with the people living it, the most credible form of institutional storytelling.
